Malvern Spring Garden Show 2019
To create a garden that reflects the theme for this year , 'A moment in Time' building on the children's ideas to then sow, grow and plant out as many of the plants used in the design as possible. We want the whiole school to have an input into the project in some way or another, either via a class by class project or through individuals volunteering their time to work on the project outside of normal school hours. We want the garden to reflect our love of the natural environment, our curiosity and hunger for learning and the sense of awae and wonder that learning through the outdoors encourages.
How you can help:
Over the coming weeks and months we will be updating the school community and the Spring Garden Show team about the work we have done to date, the next steps planned and ways in which you can help.
We will be looking to use recycled materials, wherever possible, to build the garden structure and to encourage the community to use fewer resources and make the garden sustainable.
Things we will be looking for your support with:
- Donations of building materials (rough and planed timber), an old sit up and beg bicycle, lengths of old guttering, pond liner, fencing posts and old paint (Red , white and blue gloss and white timber undercoat please!)
- Donations of plants : Lily of the valley, tulips (Red or White), Lavender bushes, native bluebells , grape hyacinths , allium (white or blue) , Alyssium (white or blue)
- Come to the Spring Garden Show (9-12th May) and support our work, encouraging the next generation of gardeners and nature lovers!
